Today’s song is Bad To The Bone by George Thorogood & The Destroyers
On the day I was born, the nurses all gathered ’round
And they gazed in wide wonder, at the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up, and she said leave this one alone
She could tell right away, that I was bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad to the bone
I first heard this on the soundtrack to Christine (an appalling film – when compared to the book, anyway – but with a brilliant selection of tunes) and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s a heavy, guitar-driven slice of brilliance that harks back to the old blues of the likes of Robert Johnson but updated for the 80s and 90s.
