Weigh In 2012 : Thursday, 1 March

Last year, I was in weight loss mode. Then, towards the end of the year I got down to 14st 9lbs and achieved my target weight – I had a BMI below 25 and had lost 5st 7lbs.

Having achieved target weight, I then went into maintenance mode to stay at that level but found that by early December I had lost a further 7lb. That brought my total weight loss to 6st, which was an absolutely staggering amount. I was very pleased to have got down so far.

Since then, we’ve had Christmas, New Year, my stag night, my wedding and various other bits and pieces and I’ve been less strict about what I ate and drank at them all. So today, my weight now stands back at the 14st 9lbs that was my target last year.

So, although I’ve put back on half a stone I’m happy with where my weight is and I’m not looking to lose any more. I’m hoping that now I’m back cycling, maintenance will be much easier.

After hitting my target last week, I’m now in maintenance mode. This means that I can fluctuate by three pounds either way. So this week, I’m happy to be just one pound over target at 14st 10lb.

No cycling for quite some time now, due to darker evenings, too cold and too busy. Think I’m going to have to crank up the Wii Fit over the winter.

Yay! Today, I hit my target weight of 14st 9lb. That’s a 3lb loss from last week, and puts my BMI at less than 25 – which means I’m now in the healthy bracket.

It was the end of June last year when I tipped the scales at 20st 2lb. At the end of January this year – when I weighed 19st 0lb – I decided I was actually going to put some effort in to loing weight. Now, I’m in a nice healthy, slim and fit place and it’s where I intend to stay.
