This choice has been inspired by Collin’s post yesterday about Laurie Anderson’s O Superman, which got me thinking about odd songs. Like O Superman, this one is very much a child of the 80s mainly, I think, because the idea of a computer-generated VJ (played by Matt Frewer) could not have happened at any other time.
The Max Headroom TV series was, in the main, just a music video show but the original drama which shows how the character came about, was really good. The character went on to have a degree of success outside of its TV show, but ultimately could not survive the novelty wearing off.
