The Winchester Mystery Mansion in San Jose, California was constructed by Sarah Winchester in 1884. Winchester was the daughter of William Winchester creator of the Winchester Rifle.

Rumor has it, Winchester felt bad about all the victims of her father’s rifle, so she constructed the mansion for the souls to live.

“The house is so crazy and cool. I love how she was so sweet to create a mansion for it,” junior Haley Gray said.

The house is said to be haunted by the spirits of victims of the Winchester rifle. Many workers have witnessed strange things. Zak Bagans from Ghost Adventures crew investigate the house twice. Many have investigated the house and the house provides tours.

“The Ghost Adventures episode was so creepy and had so much evidence of paranormal activity,” sophomore Carter Graves said.

The mansion also has a collection of guns that William Winchester created and can be viewed by the public. Some are antiques, others were used by famous people, like President Theodore Roosevelt.

“I think it would be so cool so to go to the mansion. I love the history of guns. Being a shooter, seeing all the original guns would be so cool,” junior Ashley Bertillo said.
