Hall Monitors Helping Others

There are over 1,800 students at Timberland High School but only two hall monitors.

“You make sure are in class making sure people are doing what there supposed to. I like to build relationships with kids, so [I’m] not just another guy they see in the halls,” hall monitor Jesse Freise said.

There are some challenges to being the hall monitor, and it can also help to by being the beginning for something new.

“My goal is to be a teacher in life,” Freise said.

Students have specific thoughts about the hall monitor’s roll.

“Things that come to my mind when I think of the hall monitor are standing in the hallway giving out passes and probably catching kids skipping class,” student Daniel Wells said.

Christy Weber is also a hall monitor.
