Starbucks Releases 2017 Holiday Cup
November 2, 2017
It’s that time of year again. Starbucks has unveiled their new yearly holiday cups, and this year Starbucks has indicated they want to make the cup all about their patrons.
The new cups feature a black-and-white sketch, with just a few splashes of red and green, meant to encourage drinkers to use their creative mind and art supplies to fill in the rest. There are illustrations of a Christmas tree, two clasped hands, doves, ornaments, a star, presents and two little cups.
“It gives people the chance to make it the way they want instead of having a carbon copy as everyone else,” sophomore Kelsey Powers said.
The new DIY cup allows consumers to color and add their own illustrations.
“We love the idea of everyone making this year’s cup their own,” Starbucks creative director Leanne Fremar said, according to US magazines.
Along with the new cup Starbucks has released their new holiday drinks which include seasonal favorites such as, peppermint mocha, eggnog latte, gingerbread latte, caramel brulee latte and chestnut praline latte.

You know, I bought one of their draw-able ceramic mugs for $20 back in August. You would think it’s even better because whatever you draw on it is permanent – unfortunately, not many of us are one of those Instagram artists who can draw the Sistine Chapel ceiling on their mug without erasing, so there’s still nothing on it. Here’s to the rest of the mediocre artists leaving their cups blank this holiday season.
