Chess club was started three years ago by special education teacher Natalie DeYoung, when a student requested for a chess club to be started.

Chess club has been meeting every Monday after school from 2:30 to 4 p.m. ever since

“We fluctuate between 6 and 12 player each meeting,” club sponsor Natalie DeYoung said.

Chess club welcomes new players from every skill level even beginners, the president of the club even gives chess lessons during meetings.
