The Impact of Cade Lewis: A Timberland Senior
May 17, 2021
Senior Cade Lewis is involved in many school activities including DECA, FBLA, National Honors Society and German National Honors Society. He is dual enrolled at St. Charles Community College, and participates in AP Classes. He is the teacher’s assistant in Alaina Appelbaum’s third hour German class.
“Cade has continued to leave his mark throughout his time here [at THS],” FBLA Sponsor Kellie Trussell said.
This year, Lewis and his two partners qualified for the 2021 FBLA International competition, competing in the Hospitality and Event Management division.
“He is professional, driven and … his hard work that’s paid off,” DECA sponsor Michael Oliva said.
Lewis participated in, and helped others succeed with, DECA competitions as well. He placed in the PMCG (Project Management Community Giving) division.
“Some advice I would give to incoming students would definitely be to just get out of your shell, be who you want to be. I struggled with that a lot my freshman and sophomore year, but thankfully I got out of who I used to be and became who I wanted to be,” Lewis said.
Lewis plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia in the fall to study BioChemistry and German through the honors college.
