Low lights, lots of fidgets, and people available to talk in a crisis. All of these describe the THS guidance office.
Counselors help students with individual schedule planning, family or friendship struggles, daily issues, sudden situations that might arise and planning for the future, according to counselor Stepanie Bell.
“Generally, I help students when they are having a rough time mentally, connecting them with counseling resources or other resources in the community,” crisis counselor Dave Salvatierra said.
Julie Biggs is the counselor for last names A-D, Sarah Paes last names E-K, Tammy Braun L-Ri and Stephanie Bell last names Ro-Z. Amy Green is the college and career counselor and A+ coordinator.
“I think our building is very open to different people. I have seen that, because I worked across the district and that’s something I really liked about Timberland,” Salvatierra said.
Counseling services can be found in room 150.
“Come and see us. If you need something, We are here to help you. Seek us out. Kids know how to email and they walk by our office everyday. Come in and see us,” Green said.
