Baseball is a spring sport coached by Andrew Zerr, and assisted by coaches Brendan Trimble and Bob Holman. There are 22 players on the team and 33 games this season.
“Baseball is a very challenging sport physically. It is a game of repetitions and you must do basic the things in order to do the fantastic things.” said Zerr
According to senior Camden Newsom, the individual part about playing baseball is facing the pitcher in the batter’s box.
“There’s no time limit, you can’t run your opponent out here. You face them. You don’t get a choice.” said freshman coach William Sills
According to coach Zerr, the team is very good at bonding with each other like when they go out to eat and hangout with each other.
“It’s given me a great group of friends I’ve had since early on in my life. I’d go on random vacations and stuff with them, I play golf and poker with them all the time.” said Newsom
Tryouts took place March third to March sixth. The next upcoming game is on March 21. You can find the baseball stadium in the farthest parking lot of Timberland’s parking lot through the football field entrance and to the right.
