While many people have dreamed about setting off on a journey to the moon now it is finally a reality.  With the first private tourist SpaceX flight taking off sometime next week.

“I would love to take off for the moon on a private tour.  I feel like that would be one of the best thrills of my life,” senior Kaylee Mayes said

The man behind the operation is billionaire Elon Musk.  He has signed two private passengers, that names have not yet been released yet, to be slung into orbit around the moon aboard the companies BFR launch vehicle.  This ship is very well equipped for the journey that lies ahead.

“I don’t know much about the SpaceX program but I have seen that their new ship weighs more than any other and is going to be reusable,” sophomore Madison Humphreys said

Many of the Big Falcon Rockets features are kept a secret to the world by the company.  However, we do know it is equipped with showers, commons area, and a few other rooms.

This specific space shuttle is going to be able to be reused for future trips to space.

“I would love to see a live broadcast of the launch in like a science class on the day that it occurs,” Mayes said

The official launch date for the mission is set to be September 17th.  However, many crew members have speculations that the project may be delayed.
