NLCS Game 6 Tonight
October 19, 2018
Game six of the NLCS is tonight, and a lot is up for grabs, as the pennant winner can be decided.
The Dodgers return to Milwaukee and Miller Park with a 3-2 lead over the hometown Brewers. The Dodgers left Milwaukee tied 1-1, but took two out of three games in Los Angeles. The Dodgers, coming back a few times against what has appeared to be a shaky Brewer bullpen, have rallied enough to put Milwaukee into two straight elimination games. The most notable comeback came from Game 4, which went 13 inning. The Dodgers center fielder, Cody Bellinger, hit a walkoff single that scored the winning run, in the form of Manny Machado.
Tonight’s matchup sees the Dodgers sending out left hander Hyun-Jin Ryu, who had a huge breakout season, going 7-3 with a miniscule 1.97 ERA. The opposing Brewers will send out a breakout star of their own, Wade Miley, who went 5-2 with a 2.57 ERA. As of late, the Brewers offense has struggled. They have scored only three runs in the last two games, losing both. As for the Dodgers, everything seems to be rolling well together. The offense is on fire, scoring seven runs in the last two games. If the Dodgers end up winning tonight, they will move on to face the Red Sox in the World Series. The World Series is slated to start Tuesday, October 23rd.
Tonight’s game starts at 7:39 on Fox Sports 1. The roof on Miller Park will be closed, as the weather in Milwaukee shows rain.
