DECA Den

The DECA Den is a mini store based in the THS cafeteria run by eight members of DECA.

The Den offers a variety of snacks and drinks during all lunches.

“I love the slushies and all the people there, who are very nice,” senior Cody Knox said.

Knox has been going to DECA Den since he was a freshman. 

“I really like it; it’s a fun break in the middle of the day, and it’s just nice to see different grade levels and meet new people,” senior Quinn Zust, a DECA member who works in the store, said.

The store is designed to teach marketing and retail skills, as well as fundraise for teh DECA organization.

“It helps my students pay for their way to their competitions,” business teacher Michael Oliva said.

The profits that the DECA Den make go towards their competitions throughout the year. 

The Den offers chips, fruit snacks, beef jerky, slushie,capri suns, and orange juice. The DECA Den is also selling fro-yo every friday. The products are pretty cheap ranging from .25 cents to $3.

To be a part of the DECA Den use must be registered for marketing and apply to work in the store.
