Timberland’s Crochet Club

WHTV has an inside look on Timberland high schools very own Crochet club.

Psychology, AP Psychology, & Sociology teacher, Mrs. Harris said that crochet club started last year.

“It started last year with Ms. Baltz and I starting a club over a hobby we both love,” said Harris.

Mrs. Harris said she thinks they should join crochet club because they have lots of fun.

“I think they should join crochet club because it’s a great skill to have, we have a lot of fun, and every month we kinda try to do a different project and you can join when ever,” said Harris.

Harris said her favorite part of the club is when she sees the new members start to get it.

“My favorite part of the club is when I see new members really get it, and start trying their own patterns, and own projects, and I can really see their joy that they have when they understand how to do it.

Sophomore Mackenzie Sifford said her favorite part of crochet club is being with all the different people.

“ My favorite part of crochet club is being with all the different people there and helping teach people how to start crocheting because it’s a really big part of my life,” said Sifford.

Mackenzie Sifford said that they make scrunchies, hats, and pumpkins in crochet club.

“In crochet club we work on hats, right now we are doing pumpkins, and in December we will work on scrunchies”, said Sifford.

Senior Julia Clements said that her favorite part of crochet club is being able to crochet and not worry about school.

“My favorite part about crochet club is being able to crochet and not worry about any other school stuff, so it’s very free of stress,” said Clements.

Senior Julia Clements said she is working on making pumpkins in crochet club.

“Currently I am working on pumpkins,” Said Clements.
