Third Quarter Slump PSA

Ireland Murray, Reporter

January sixth marked the start of the third quarter for Timberland, bringing along the phenomenon known as the third quarter slump along with it. The third quarter slump is that time in the school year when student morale is low, causing more missing assignments and lower test/quiz grades.

A few ways to help combat the slump from effecting you is to avoid procrastinating. Recent studies show that students who wait until the last moment to turn in assignments are more likely to have lower grades compared to their non-procrastinating peers.

Another way is too make changes to your study situation. Studying with a buddy can help bounce ideas and questions off of each other can help with learning or studying. Finding a new study area can help with retaining knowledge when studying.
