Spring break is an anticipated time for many students. It is time to take a break from school and relax, have fun and make memories.

With so many activities to choose from, it can be difficult to decide what the best spring break activity is. From beach trips to skiing to staycations, Timberland students share their favorite spring break activities.

Spring Break is traditionally a period between term times when schools and universities take holidays.

“My favorite spring break activity is probably chilling out at home, or if I’m not playing “Call of Duty,” it would be hanging out with friends or family,” sophomore Justin Dotson said.

The tradition of taking Spring Breaks started in the US in the 1930s. However, by 1960, the concept was established in school calendars. Spring break in the United States dramatically increased in popularity with the release of the book and 1960 movie titled “Where the Boys Are,” according to Factcity.com.

“Sleeping,” Senior  Wyatt Allinger said. “Sleeping,” said Junior Eleanor Chapin

According to Factcity.com teens spend most of their time on spring break sleeping in.

“Frolicing in tall grass,” Junior Seth Rightnower said.

Spring break starts on March 20 and we will return on the 24th, with a early release on the 17th.
