Late rapper XXXTentacion released his first posthumous album, “Skins”, on December 7th.

The album has 10 tracks, and be a total of 20 minutes long, a very short album. There is only one feature on the album, and that is from Kanye West. It’ll be the first album of the late rappers that has been released since his death, though multiple songs that he features on have been released since. The album is going to be the first of two albums of his set to drop in the coming weeks, the second being Members Only Volume 4.

“I’m very excited for xxxtentacions post-humourous album. His music is very soothing and calming to me, and I can not wait to hear more of it. It is sad that it is the last album of his that will be made the way he wants it to,” freshman Christione Walls said.
According to xxxtentacion’s mother, who has taken over a management type role since his death, Skins will be the “last album released the way that ‘x’ wanted it to be,” according to an interview with MTV. On top of this, while it is the last album made the way he wanted it, it will not be the last one made. The albums track list also been released via XXXTentacion’s instagram page, and the list includes songs like “BAD”, which has already been released, “Staring At the Sky”, “Difference”, and “One Minute”, which is the West featured song. “I have not listened to X before, but there is a lot of hype around him since his death, so I might give his new album a try since its only 20 minutes long,” sophomore Jacob Brewer said.

The album is set to release at midnight Friday morning, and will be among many other large albums that will release that day. The 10 tracks, 20 minute album is receiving some criticism already because of its very short length. Some fans even saying that the songs are better off as ringtones than songs. However, some opinions go the other way, supporting the album and highly anticipating it.

Currently, after about a week since its release, 96% of users on Google have upvoted the album.
