Last night during Thursday Night Football, the Buffalo Bills traveled to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to take on the New York Jets.

The Jets took control from the beginning when quarterback Josh McCown ran in for a ten yard touchdown and gave his squad a 7-0 lead.  In the second quarter, Bills rookie wide receiver then helped tie the game up with his first career touchdown in the NFL.  Jones was later forced to exit the game two separate times do to hyperextensions of his knee.

“It had to be disappointing for Zay Jones to have to leave after what had to be one of the best moments of his career so far(scoring his first touchdown),” sophomore Joey Mrazik said.

A go ahead field goal in the second and two third quarter touchdowns by the Jets then gave them a commanding 24-7 lead going into the final quarter of the game.  In that final quarter, Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor attempted to take the game over himself and get his team back in the game by rushing for one touchdown and throwing for another.

“I think Tyrod [Taylor] did a good job trying to soften the blow in a way and keeping his team in the game until the end,” Mrazik said.

The Jets countered Taylor’s attack by scoring 10 fourth quarter points of their own which ultimately got them the win by a score of 34-21.

Eleven games will be played this Sunday, and then there will be a Monday Night game between the Packers and the Lions.

“The Packers and Lions game will be one to keep an eye on because it will be Packer quarterback Brett Hundley’s second start following the collarbone injury that Aaron Rodgers suffered a few weeks ago,” junior Cameron Kreklow said.
