With only eleven days left until Christmas, the students at Timberland are getting into the holiday spirit, despite the stressful week ahead. Being with family and celebrating the holidays with loved ones is just around the corner for students, and many are getting excited about winter break and all of the festivities that coincide with it.

“I love Christmas, because it reminds me of memories in Memphis on Christmas,” senior Carley Gubera said.

One of the most popular ways to get into the joy and merry mood of the holidays is to listen to a classic Christmas song, according to Yellow Hammer News.

“I love Christmas music, because it puts me in a festive mood and it is super fun to sing along to the songs,” senior Riley Mongoven said.

Many popular vocalists and performers have released entire albums of holiday and Christmas songs. Among the more recognized are groups like Pentatonix, and singers like Michael Buble and Mariah Carey.

“I love singing along to ‘Mary Did You Know’ by Pentatonix. I love Pentatonix because they have a unique spin,” Mongoven said.

While there are many Christmas music lovers, some think that people are getting into the Christmas spirit a little too early, according to Buzzfeed News.

“I think December is the right time [to listen to Christmas music], because then you still have a whole month and it is not too early to listen,” Mongoven said.

Overall, Christmas is a joyous and peaceful time of year to spend with friends and family, and it is important to get the most out of it, according to Huffington Post.
